Meaning “chrysanthemum exhibition”, the Kikkaten is an annual celebration of the seasonal flower at Meiji Jingū, one of Tokyo’s most visited Shintō shrine. The shrine is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken and surrounded by a man-made forest.
